A Little About Our Farm

Dry Dock Farm is 3 acres of rich river bottom land near the village of Silex.   We purchased our farm in 2005. We are remodeling our turn of the century farm house and barn.

We grow Heirloom vegetables, flowers, and herbs.  Our Heirloom tomatoes are bursting with that old time “picked from Grandma’s garden flavor”.  We grow our vegetables, herbs, and flowers using bio-intensive methods, no chemicals, no GMO seeds, and we enrich our soil with natural minerals, cover crops, worm castings and com.post.

We also raise Heritage chickens, turkeys, geese. ducks and assorted other poultry.  Our birds are raised on pasture with fresh air and sunshine.  They are fed a vegetarian diet, to provide you with the best tasting farm fresh eggs.

We have a 22 week CSA (Community Supported Agriculture ) from May till October.  We deliver to your home 6-8 vegetable varieties, fresh in season, an herb assortment, seasonal fruit and a dozen farm fresh eggs in an ice pack cooler, for $55.00 per week. That includes delivery.  (We have several payment options)

Your vegetables are usually picked within 48 hours of delivery to your home.  Some are picked the morning of delivery, especially our greens. We have available other value added products from some of our River Hills Farmers Alliance members, antibiotic, hormone free pasture raised chickens,  Amish Jams, Jellies, Honeys, Fresh goat cheese, antibiotic, hormone free pork bundles, Free Range Beef Packages, goat milk soaps, wheat berries and  whole wheat flour.

Included in your weekly delivery is our newsletter.  It has recipes, storage tips, farm news, herbal tips.  Our deliveries cover Lincoln, St. Charles, St. Louis County and St. Louis City.

If you would like some more information or have questions please feel free to contact us via email at drydocfarm@windstream.net or call the farm at 573-384-5859.
